RETIRED AND LIKE EATING OUT?
WHY NOT COME AND JOIN US?
You over sixties could be missing out on something.
Do you enjoy good home cooked food
and pleasant company?
On Thursdays at New Ash Green Youth Centre, the Parish Council runs a community lunch for the active retired. We are very lucky to have a professionally trained chef, who is ably assisted by cheery volunteers.
We serve a freshly cooked, well presented 2 course lunch with tea and coffee for only £4.50 – excellent value.
The varied menus include chicken chasseur, salmon, chicken
in red wine sauce, fish and potato pie, beef casserole and
roasts. Served usually with potatoes and 2 vegetables.
Desserts are such delights as raspberry cream slice, steamed sultana pudding, apple pie, and fruit crumble.
Our Diners always leave with a smile on their faces, having thoroughly enjoyed their lunch and booked themselves in for the next week.
The meal is at midday and lasts for about an hour. As we have to keep costs down to give such value, the meal has to be ordered in advance – usually the week before. We ask too that you try and make it as regular a commitment as possible.
